What is pressotherapy treatment?
Pressotherapy lymphatic drainage treatment is an innovative therapeutic technique designed to enhance the body’s natural detoxification processes. Reduce and ease inflammation, soften and reduce scar tissue, promote regeneration, and enhance extracellular fluid clearance so that the lymphatic system can naturally dispel it.
Manual Lymphatic or Pressotherapy Lymphatic massage is recommended and beneficial prior to surgery as it facilitates the body's preparation for the surgical procedure. The lymphatic system lymph vessels are stimulated during the massage to eliminate unwanted waste substances such as bacteria, excess fluid, viruses, and excess proteins from the body.
It is advisable to have a series of Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massages (performed by hand) immediately post-surgery followed by Pressotherapy Lymphatic Massage approximately 3 to 4 weeks after depending on the individual and healing process.
